Logomark Supports Veterans Through Shelter to Soldier Partnership

Logomark, one of the largest suppliers in the industry, announced a partnership with Shelter to Soldier earlier this year. Shelter to Soldier is a nonprofit organization with the tagline “Saving lives, two at a time” that adopts and trains shelter dogs to become psychiatric service dogs for combat veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury and other associated injuries. Shelter to Soldier also offers other services for veterans, including job opportunities, therapy sessions and peer-to-peer counseling.

Supporting Veterans

For Shelter to Soldier, connecting shelter dogs with veterans was a no-brainer. Every day 20 U.S. veterans are lost to suicide and many more suffer from various psychological injuries connected to their service. Each year, 3.9 million dogs end up in shelters across the country and over 1 million of those will be euthanized. The team of trainers at Shelter to Soldier specialize in modifying unwanted behaviors that may otherwise lead to a dog being euthanized, and continue the training until each dog is fully equipped for their new service job. Each trained service dog goes on to provide critical psychological support to their veteran handler.

Logomark’s SoCal Collaboration

Logomark was introduced to Shelter to Soldier at a conference in Southern California, where both organizations are located. The premise of the organization stood out to Logomark and they knew they wanted to be a part of it. With the partnership, Logomark offered to supply Shelter to Solider with promotional products to sell and sponsor the full training costs for two dogs. Fully-training and preparing each shelter dog costs roughly $20,000 and can take up to 18 months to complete. Logomark also pledged to donate a portion of all future sales from their best-selling, private label brands: Perka, iCool and Work.

The Logomark products that offer a give back component encompass several of the company’s core categories. This allows Logomark to make a substantial, ongoing contribution to Shelter to Soldier, while providing your clients with the hard goods they’re looking for. The Perka, iCool and Work lines contain drinkware and accessories, coolers and other insulated products and a wide range of office and event supplies, respectively. By purchasing these products from Logomark, your clients can directly benefit Shelter to Soldier’s mission to help combat veterans and shelter dogs in need.
