PCNA Community Involvement
PCNA has gone above and beyond to give back during COVID-19. The company has taken advantage of their four expansive product lines to donate promotional products and PPE, as well as their time, to various initiatives near their headquarters in the Pittsburgh, PA area and across North America.
One of PCNA’s larger projects during this time of physical distancing was their collaboration with children’s clothing retailer Hanna Andersson. After seeing people across the globe put teddy bears in their windows in the spirit of keeping children entertained during this challenging and confusing time, PCNA decided they wanted to help fill even more windows and give children a reason to smile. PCNA provided 10,000 teddy bears to Hanna Andersson to include as a surprise gift in children’s clothing shipments.
Aiding children and families throughout the pandemic has been high on PCNA’s priority list. In partnership with Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank in Pennsylvania, PCNA assembled 1,700 totes containing a JournalBooks activity book, colored pencils and a teddy bear. JournalBooks also donated 1,500 of these totes to Metrolina Food Bank in Charlotte, NC. In Toronto, PCNA collaborated with a food bank to help package food for families in need, in addition to donating another 400 children’s activity totes.
PCNA was also able to provide much-needed PPE to help combat the pandemic. The ConquerCOVID19 organization in Canada received 3,000 Trimark snoods from PCNA to distribute to those in need. A donation of 10,000 utility masks was made to Pittsburgh’s Global Links organization, which passed out masks to workers at community organizations. PCNA donated hand sanitizer, insulated drinkware, duffel bags and power banks to the Murrysville Medic One emergency medical response team outside of Pittsburgh. Similar donations were also made to three different police departments in the Pittsburgh area.
Throughout the pandemic, PCNA has found creative ways to give back and provided necessary PPE. Their thoughtful acts and willingness to utilize their product lines for good has made a big difference in many peoples’ lives over the past several months.
